CCID's 50th Annual Conference Call for Proposals

Proposal submissions will close on October 1, 2025. 


We invite you to submit proposals for concurrent sessions, workshops, posters and the hallmark Faculty Forum, that address at least one of the following tracks:

  • Global Career Readiness 
    • Intercultural competency, industry partnerships, internships/externships, job shadowing, professional training, “skilling”, research


  • Internationalizing the Curriculum/Global Studies 
    • Sourcing international curricula, internationalizing curriculum and assessments, comparative analysis of different cultural viewpoints, engaging diverse classrooms


  • Education Abroad 
    • Risk management, advising, curriculum integration, intercultural competency, experiential learning, capacity-building, funding models, pre-departure and re-entry orientations, assessment


  • International Student Recruitment, Retention and Support
    • Recruitment and agents, onboarding and critical support, credit transfer, student retention and campus integration, student wellness, visas and immigration, risk management and cultural translations with campus personnel


  • Democracy, Diplomacy and International Education 
    • Human rights, student activism, free speech, institutional relationships with State and Foreign Affairs departments, institutional advocacy, diplomatic career advising, government internships for students, model U.N. Nations and similar programs


  • Building Resilient Programs
    • Financial sustainability, B2B and leveraging partnerships, administrative risk management, strategic planning for growth, MOUs and institutional partnerships, campus-wide professional development

Lead Presenter Contact Information

Proposal Submission

Submissions by, or inclusive of, first hand community college perspectives will be given priority. Failure to submit all required information may result in the proposal not being accepted. 

  • Workshop proposals are limited to facilitators with a high-level of expertise and are applicable to a wider audience.  
  • Faculty Forum proposals should be a Faculty member who will present on a teaching tactic, research area or unique curriculum to their peers from other institutions in a round-table format. 
  • Concurrent Session proposals should demonstrate innovation, expertise and address at least one of the conference tracks and can have multiple presenters. 
  • Posters should highlight innovative practices in international education in a high-impact way.

On your document, the following must be included:

  1. Lead Presenter

  4. Submission category: Workshop/Faculty Forum/Concurrent Session/Poster
  5. Proposal abstract/ description:
    • Please provide a brief description/abstract of your proposal that includes at least 2 learning objectives. Make it brief and catchy as this is the description that will be used to promote your session to conference participants. 
      • Workshop, Faculty Forum and Concurrent Session proposal descriptions should be a minimum of 250 words to provide the reviewers full context. Poster descriptions should be a maximum of 250 words.
  6. Information for each additional presenter:
    • Name 
    • Job role/ title
    • Institution or organization

Agreement in Principle
Check box to agree in principle to terms, including submitter responsible for communication with additional presenters on providing bios and headshots, and relaying pertinent information. All presenters must be registered for the conference. *We encourage those submitting proposals to request travel funds in advance in case their proposal is accepted.
