2025 Faculty Innovation in Global Education



The Faculty Innovation in Global Education Award recognizes a faculty member from a CCID member institution for outstanding contributions to global engagement through innovative teaching and co-curricular activities. A nominee must have contributed to the field through creating or implementing a new approach in the classroom or in co-curricular activities such as study abroad. Any full or part-time (e.g., adjunct, lecturer) teaching faculty is eligible for this award. See past winners.

Nominees must be a current teaching faulty (having taught in last two years) from a dues-paying member institution. Self-nominations are acceptable. To nominate an individual, please provide the information below along with a 300-500 word summary on why you think this individual should be honored with this award (uploaded document below). You will need to indicate 3 criteria from the following list in which the nominee has excelled, and under which the nomination is being submitted.

Criterion 1 - Developing innovations or new applications of an established approach in curriculum or programming that significantly impacted student outcomes in international education and/or expanded student opportunities for internationalized experiences 

Criterion 2 - Advancing international programming through curriculum innovation

Criterion 3 - Developing innovative professional development for faculty that builds capacity for internationalization efforts

Criterion 4 - Developing creative uses of technology in classrooms or on campus that advances internationalization efforts

Criterion 5 - Innovating established study abroad programs or service learning abroad programs through new curriculum or technology

Please upload a narrative (no more than 500 words) explaining the nominees achievements in the award criteria listed below.

AWARD CRITERIA: Criteria will be rated on a 10-point scale for a maximum total of 30 points (10 points for each of the 3 criteria selected for narrative) .

Please submit any supporting material in one document. 

Supporting documents should be directly relevant to the award criteria and demonstrate a nominee’s innovation in the field of international education. Documents can include a syllabus, links to publications, articles, videos, or other examples of teaching materials or professional development materials.
